Pennsylvania ranked at number 17 with a 55% win.
YouGov asked 1,211 adult Americans to choose the better of two states (including Washington D.C) in a series of head-to-head matchups. The survey was conducted between March 12 and 15.
Delaware was ranked in the middle at number 32 (46%), while New Jersey ranked at the bottom of the list at number 48 (39%).
The two lowest-rated states were Alabama (38%) and Mississippi (38%).
Washington D.C scored worst of all, winning only 35% of its matchups.
